Starbucks Coffee
What is your favourite starbucks coffee?

I love coffee and like going to starbucks but i’ve never been that ‘out going’ and i’ve always stuck to the coffees i know i like, Latte/Caramel Machiatto/Cappuccino.
I’d like to know, what your favourite coffee is, what it consists of (does it have cream, is it strong etc) and would you recommend it.

My favorite is Peppermint Mocha. Caramel Mochas are good too! Made with steamed milk, espresso and mocha (chocolate) with a hint of peppermint. What’s not to like?!

Choosing The Coloossal Quality Of Kona Coffee

Hawaii, the only state in the United States where coffee is grown commercially, produces the amazing Kona coffee bean, known for its unique gourmet quality and flavor. In fact, Kona coffee thrives only in a tiny region on the western slopes of the Big Island where it has, over 175 years, been highly developed using heritage trees that do exceedingly well in the rocky volcanic earth. Sunshine, rainfall and soil strike a perfect balance in this small, fertile locality where the harvests are bountiful. The area’s exquisite Kona coffee is world renowned and emerging boutique-like coffee flavors are earning their stripes.

The prized Kona trees are never touched by mechanical harvesting equipment. Instead, families and workers from six hundred private estates gently pick by hand, so you’ll never find a combination of ripe and unripe beans-individual inspection of each coffee “cherry” assures you of a perfect cup of coffee every time. This naturally high quality coffee can only get better with the special care it receives-the higher the level of care, the better the coffee.

Rather than comparing the growing of Kona to other types of coffee, a closer parallel can actually be made by comparing it to how the grapes for fine vintage wines are nurtured and harvested. The majority of Kona coffee earns the grade of Prime or better due to the excellence of the climatic conditions, the labor-intensive hand cultivation, and wet-method processing used throughout the region. The Kona growing region has produced world class coffee continuously since the early 1800s and the name “Kona” only applies to beans grown in North and South Kona. Coffee grown elsewhere in Hawaii cannot be called Kona.

So valued is the Kona growing region of the Big Island that the plantations in the area have their own organization-The Kona Coffee Council-with a special green “seal of approval” that vouches that each bag of coffee it adorns is true and genuine 100% Kona Coffee and helps you, the coffee lover, discern between 100% Kona and lesser blends. 100% Kona has its own distinctively delicate yet rich aromatic flavor that can be overpowered if it is blended with harsher coffees.

Most Kona coffee (there are more than 100 private label brands) is graded Prime or better. Picked when bright red and fully ripe, the Kona coffee “cherry” is first pulped to remove outer flesh. Next is the fermentation step which is credited for giving the coffee its bright, clear flavor. After a thorough washing in clean, fresh water, the coffee beans are laid out on large decks for natural drying by the sun, a step during which they are raked regularly to facilitate even drying. It is then that the beans are graded to Department of Agriculture standards. Afterwards, the dry beans are milled to remove “parchment” and “silverskin” and then they are ready to be sold to roasters or, as is the trend by some Kona coffee estates, custom-roasted by the farmer to produce a truly unique coffee flavor. Due to its excellent quality, Kona coffee is regarded as one of the most highly valued coffees in the world.

Regardless if you are willing to invest that type of cash on the Gaggia Titanium Espresso unit or something similar, would depend on just how much this gourmet espresso routine means to you. If you’re somebody that just seldom indulges, then your own cash would probably be better spent from time to time in the gourmet store across the street.

You will also want to think about the grinding of the espresso beans. Regardless of whether you buy a piece of equipment that features grinding abilities or you choose to buy a independent coffee grinder, you will not want to skimp on this functionality. Most of the good quality industrial type models will probably also include the grinding functionality so most likely this won’t be an additional purchase for you. Many models do include the option of using gourmet coffee which is already ground, but making use of the whole coffee beans for your espresso certainly increases the high quality of the experience.

Coffee Drink
How can i lower the acid my stomach produces when I drink coffee?

I have been drinking alot of coffee recently and feel a slight pain. My friends say its because of all the coffee I drink (hehe). Is there a specific medication to lower the acid when i drink coffee. By the way, Im not thinking of stopping coffee drinking. other options please.

Give fresh roasted coffee a try. I used to have stomach issues due to coffee but since I have started drinking fresh roast (less then 30 days since roasted) they have all gone away. I have also made fresh roasted coffee for others and over heard them telling other people they can drink my coffee without acid problems.
Also remember that “acidic taste” and acid problems are NOT one and the same. Acidity, used as a coffee term, refers to bright, tangy, fruity, or wine-like flavor characteristics found in many high grown Arabica coffees. So when they refer to darker coffees losing their acidity this does not mean darker coffees are easier on your stomach, only that they lost a lot of the actual coffee flavor. Try drinking some fresh roasted, lighter roast coffee and I bet you will be surprised at your lack of stomach issues.

Top One Cup Coffee Maker Reviews!

Coffee is actually a drink that is definitely known around the world, loved by a lot of people and the coffee maker is a staple in many homes. From the basic little coffee maker which brews a decent cup of java to the higher power coffee and Espresso machines there’s a difference in how long they keep working, how good they function as well as if they can keep the coffee hot enough.

When buying an espresso maker there are several quite simple questions to ask to assist you to narrow down the field considerably. Although budget is likely to be a concern, spending a tad bit more for the coffeemaker that fits in your own circumstance is often worth it.

Just how much coffee would you consume on one occasion? If you just consume a mug or two then you certainly might start thinking about a small coffee maker like a one cup coffee maker or perhaps a four cup coffeemaker.

If however you consume java during the day or with many hours in between cups in that case a model which has a carafe will be far more appropriate as these units preserve as much of the original brewed quality as possible. Coffee that is many hours old sitting on a burner has a tendency to turn bitter and these types of units can preserve full flavor of the coffee by removing it from the burner.

How many gizmos do you want in your coffee machine is going to be another issue to take into account.

Some coffee machines include built-in grinders that enhance convenience and also avoid additional expense if you happen to want fresh ground coffee. You must balance the benefits with the additional clean-up that could be needed to maintain that coffee maker in excellent shape.

On the other hand, programmable coffee machines that have electronic timers can be a great asset to people who have to have a mug of java before they’re able to effectively function. If that’s the case, the coffee may be prepared to brew the evening before and then turns on auto-magically at a preset time. When you must have that first cup of coffee early, the modest extra expense may balance out by starting your day off right.

Many coffee makers these days fulfill a single function or two, mainly a good cup of java to begin the day just right. Whatever you add to them makes the coffee experience less complicated or perhaps more unforgettable. Espresso machines are required for the tasty as well as very strong coffee drink.

Exactly how simple the espresso machine is to clean must be an aspect. You must think of that previous to getting one as a decent cup of coffee demands a thoroughly clean coffeemaker.

After that, your choice is all about size, extras and how long the machine lasts. You can even check reviews online and determine if the coffee maker with all the capabilities is one that you want or if you should keep searching.

Weigh the extras against the lifespan and the convenience of a coffeemaker and then locate one that can make just a sufficient quantity, warm enough, and also the best taste for you at the best price. Great coffee can easily make your day.
